Hey, content marketing friends! Here are the best Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals for content marketers that I’ve been able to find on the net.
If you’re looking to score a discount on apps and online tools that’ll make your life easier as a content marketer, check out the list below and start planning your Black Friday/Cyber Monday strategy.
Apps that quickly review your content
If your content marketing day-to-day involves plenty of writing and editing, you’ll get so much more done (and catch that many more typos) with an app like Grammarly or ProWritingAid double-checking your content.
These apps don’t just review spelling and grammar. They scan your content for voice, tone, and language usage, and make suggestions based on parameters set by you. As a full-time copywriter, these apps point out all of the typos and grammatical errors that my eyes can’t see after I’ve been staring at a computer screen for 6 hours. My only regret is that I didn’t pay for the pro version of one of these apps sooner.
I personally used Grammarly Pro to review all of the content I’m producing before I hit publish. Stay tuned for full details on the Grammarly Black Friday 2019 deal.
ProWritingAid — 50% off all plans for Black Friday Weekend
There’s speculation that ProWritingAid is better for Content Marketers and long-form content. But having reviewed ProWritingAid and Grammarly, I think that either of these apps is a must-have tool for a busy content marketer.
If you can’t wait until then, click here to get a 20% discount on ProWritingAid right now.
Content and keyword analysis software
I use SEMrush daily to:
- Conduct keyword research
- Get content suggestions
- Find ways to optimize my existing content
- Compare how my content is performing against my competitors
- See how my competitors’ content is performing in SERPs
- See how much traffic my competitors’ websites are generating
I’ll update this post with links to SEMrush’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals as soon as they’re announced.

Email software to build lists and nurture leads
When it comes to content marketing ROI, email marketing is still king. So it pays to grow your marketing list. Here are the email service providers for content marketers that I’m keeping my eyes on in the leadup to Black Friday & Cyber Monday.
I’ll update this post with links to the respective 2019 deals as soon as they’re announced.
ConvertKit is an awesome list and drip campaign builder for bloggers and single-site operations. In 2018, they came out with their first-ever Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal—$289 for 12 months of use (up to 1000 subscribers), along with a huge bundle of other perks and bonuses.
I’m a sucker for good branding. But Drip is more than just a pretty face, and its features go wayyyy beyond email campaign management. The platform functions as a CRM, meaning, sure, you can still use it to set up lead capture forms and nurture campaigns, but it’s also THE tool to help you build customer loyalty, drive sales, and monitor customer behavior across all of your brand’s channels.
In 2018, they offered a flat 50% off all of their plans for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Let’s hope they bring the deals again in 2019.
A tool for building landing pages
Leadpages is one of the most popular email marketing solutions for content marketers. Similar to ConvertKit and Drip, it’ll help you manage your email campaigns. But it also helps you quickly build mobile responsive landing pages that work on all popular platforms (including WordPress).
In 2018, Leadpages offered a “$1 for 60 days” deal on Black Friday weekend.
I’ll update this post with links to their 2019 sale as soon as it’s announced.
Something to manage your passwords
For security and efficiency, your entire team should be using a password manager. These apps help you fill forms and enter passwords in a flash. And you can create ‘vaults’ to keep everyone’s passwords separate (e.g. you could have a content marketing ‘vault’ to store your content marketing passwords separately).
But you also need a password manager for peace of mind. Case in point: I invested in a password manager last year on Black Friday. 12 months later, I have 214+ high-security passwords stored securely in the cloud. I cannot tell you how much zen this has brought into my day-to-day as a content marketer.
If you’re on the fence about investing in one of these password manager apps, the Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend is the time to do it.
1Password is my preferred password manager. Last year, 1Password did a Thanksgiving deal where any paid user of their service could gift a free 1-year subscription to a friend or family member.
In 2018, Sticky Password offered 70% off their plans on Black Friday. I doubt you’ll get a better deal than that
Unfortunately, Dashlane didn’t offer up any Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals in 2018. The app is a great alternative to 1Password, though, so I’ll be checking their site to see if they’re offering a discount in 2019.
I’ll update this post with links to these brands’ respective Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals when they’re announced.
Apps for selling an online course
If “build an online course” is part of your 2020 content marketing strategy, you’ll need a platform to host it. Here are the leading providers I’d suggest you work with on this front. In 2018, they all offered killer Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals.
Thinkific is a powerful white-label course platform. You can use it to create and sell membership courses under your own brand. In years past, they’ve offered a heavily discounted rate on their plan and a bundle full of other perks and resources.
Teachable is remarkably easy to use and pretty good value compared to most other online course builder juggernauts.
In 2019, Teachable are offering a full year of Teachable for $299 instead of $468. You will be grandfathered into this price for as long as you like. And you’ll also get access to Teachable’s flagship program, TeachableU, and 8 weeks of live group coaching with the Teachable team.
Note: The landing page for Teachable’s 2019 Black Friday deal hasn’t gone live yet. I’ll update this post with links as soon as it’s up.
Podia goes a few steps further than “online course builder”. In addition to creating and selling online courses, the platform lets you sell memberships and digital downloads. And you can even use it to manage your email marketing.
In 2018, Podia took 15%-80% off their plans for the Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend. Stay tuned for their 2019 Black Friday deal announcement.
I’m going to sound like a fanatic, but I don’t think I could recommend noise-canceling headphones more vehemently if I tried. They’re a lifesaver for content marketers and copywriters who do remote work in noisy locales, or whose workday is full of interruptions and shoulder taps.
Noise-canceling headphones can be pricey and they rarely reach “mega discount” sale status. Still, if you’re going to score a deal, the Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend is a good time to look.
Here are a few pairs I’ll be keeping my eyes on in 2019.
- Bose QuietComfort 35 II (I use these)
- Sony Noise Canceling Headphones (highest-rated on Amazon)
- Taotronics Active Noise Canceling Headphones (budget option)
That’s all, folks! If there’s a killer deal, app, or tool for content marketers that I forgot to add to this list, let me know in the comments and I’ll add it ASAP.
